Caught in the rain.

A week have passed before I know it. Quite a few things happen last week...

The business message test was alright. I think I will do just fine. A lot of scribbling though. I wonder if Mrs Elsie Peng could read it.

My class held a fund-raising on Thursday. So, I help out after french to sell the drinks and snacks. Apparently, the class finish selling the snacks and only a few cans of drinks left. We made some profit. Around $100 plus.We need to raise more though. The event needs more money.

After the fund-raising, I and my sister went to pick up our NDP uniform. All red and white with a visor. The uniform was not bad. I look quite nice in it. LOL!

Next, came Friday. I'm officially can declared myself to be a Rotaracter. The Rotaract Club organised an to installation and induction day for all the new members. Some magicians perform some tricks. i think they should talk less and do more tricks instead of just two.

On Saturday, I went to Peiying Primary School to bring the kids for NDP. It was weird wearing the NDP uniform and walking around. One bus driver burst into the national song when he saw me. Seriously. It was interesting how they reserve a MRT train just for this primary 5 kids. We got the whole train to our self although it was a bit tight. The train didn't stop at all the stations but just the selected few. We stop at Raffles MRT and have to walk all the way to the floating platform. After some false alarm at the start, there was a heavy downpour at the finale of the parade. I didn't mange to wear my poncho on time and I was soacked to the skin. Even my socks are wet. But really, really fun. The rain was refreshing and the kids enjoy themselves.

Visited my grandmother's house on Sunday. My uncle from Jeddah have come to Singapore for business. I kind of miss him. He is a fun guy to hang out with. Eat durian. Yum yum. How sad that the durian season is over and we can go to pick up durian from my grandfather's kebun(orchard). Now, rambutan's season is here and I'm still is busy as ever. I would love to go kampung and stay in the kebun and wait for the fruits to drop. I have done it before. The kebun house might be a little dirty but once people live in it, it's not bad.

Lastly, Youth to Youth(Y2Y) camp. It's a camp where the TRM course will host students from all over the whole to come to learn about Singapore and the tourism. So, tentatively, only about 5 to 6 students from Japan are confirm going. So, Ms April Ng was in charge and needed 6 people maximum since only 6 students are confirm. About 13 of us apply to be part of the camp. And guess who manage to get in? ME! LOL! Yah!

I will tell about the Y2Y camp later. Right now I should be studying for my LAM test tomorrow, 30% of the whole module. So many things to remember, so little time.

My Weekend

I went to watch transformers with my sister along with her guy friend, Alif. I didn't really want to watch it. I didn't the storyline and didn't watch the first movie. But my sister offered to treat me so why not? It was pretty interesting. I was amazed how the robots transformed. Super cool. Shia Lebouf is a good actor. I have always like him. =) And the supporting actor, the guy supposedly from middle east, was hilarious. I feel like watching the first series. =p

So Saturday was the first time on ground. Reported at 11.30am and the ushering starts at 4pm. I was feeling restless from the long wait. Got sunburned across the nose. Hahaha. It was pretty tiring since you have to stand and somewhat because of the public 's attitude. However, the parade was awesome. I got to see the parachutees. The last one landed on his butt. It must have hurt. I didn't get to see the performances though. I went for my dinner that time. I got to catch the fireworks. It was so pretty. Can't wait to see the full one on the day. Yeah!

I went to the airport today for the APEC briefing. I went into to the transit area. Haven't been there since primary school. I was brief the whole thing and was given a tour from Terminal 2 through Terminal 1 and then finally Terminal 3. It was very interesting. It definitely perk my interest to work in the airport. The whole thing ended later at 1.30pm. It took such a long time to get the pass for the transit area. Have to quickly rushed off for my 2pm tutorial . Reach school around 2.30pm. At least it's not that late.

Tomorrow I have a written test on business messages. I hope I will do well. Bye.

I saw an artist.

I went to the APEC meeting this morning, missing both Principles of Marketing lecture and tutorial. No surprise that I arrive late. Thank god it's only 5 minutes and the briefing have not started yet. Blame the bus. And me. I took my time eating breakfast. A girl got to eat. LOL. Although, personally I think I need to cut down. Anyway, the briefing started and there is a LOT to remember and take note. Basically, I need to know everything possible about Singapore. Where to go, shop and eat. By the end of this, I can be a personal tourist guide. For someone who is a hermit, it is no small feat.

Regarding the artist, I saw Shahril, the contestent from Anugerah Skrin. A Suria channel celebrity. Did he won the competition? It's not even a glimpse. He was one of the people who was doing the briefing. Apparently, he is working under STB. Interesting fact. A very good presenter. I thoroughly enjoy the briefing. Looking forward for the event. I will mostly likely be posted at Changi Airport. Between the 13th to 24the July. Unfortuantely, I have to attend another training next monday, meaning another lesson missed. It's all for the experience.

Tomorrow is another big day. NDP. It's for the army personnel or something. So, training have ended and tomorrow i''ll be ushering people. I have to report at 11.30am and end at 10.30. That's a whooping 11 hrs. For the sake of CCA points and clocking hours. It'll be fun. The fireworks!

I'm definitely busy in the months to come. Feel apologetic to my friends, having no time to meet up. Just know that I'm here and if there is any problem, I'll make the time. =)

Au Revoir.

P.S: Please tag so that I know at least someone is reading my blog. =/

Salut!

I had my first french lesson today. The lesson was hilarious. Quite a number of people were late and they come to class in streams. So, when students come to class, the tutor will talk rapidly in french to them. Imagine the faces. There you are anxious that you are late and the tutor talking in a foreign language. Anyway, the lesson is pretty good. I can now introduce my name, where i stay. =P

Right at this moment, I seriously question my judgement. I apply for this event and this will cause me to miss a couple of lessons and work is piling up. I'm just killing myself. But the event is a good experience. So how? I shall see. Meanwhile, i have to work hard and finish up as many work as possible. 3.5 GPA here I go! LOL.

On the other hand, I found myself eating lunch alone for three consecutive days. I'm such a loner. Hahaha. I wonder if I going to eat alone again tomorrow?

P.S: Salut means informal hello in french.
